에(서)/에게(서)/한테(서)/께(서)

에(서)/에게(서)/한테(서)/께(서)

1. "The nouns +(으)로부터/에서/한테서/에게서/께" is "From + the nouns "..
TTMIMK's teachers said , (으)로부터 is an honorific form. of cause, they weren't wrong.
but it is just a pattern to translate English into Korean.-에서/-한테서/-에게서 is the more natural korean than (으)로부터...
In '-한테서/에게서, '-서' can also be ommited..
1)-에서 : From +(things or places)
2) -한테서/-에게서 : From +( preson or animal)
3) -에게서 is a formal form and 한테서 is a informal..
4) -께서 is a high formal form.
Ex)
① 선생님께/에게서, (전) 선물을 받았어요.
From teachter, I received a gift..
② I'm form korea. 전 한국에서/으로부터(??) 왔어요.: I'm form korea.
③ 친구한테서 전화가 왔다: I got a call From a friend..
④ 우리는 책에서 진리를 깨닫았다: we realize the truth from the book
선물 : gift/present
받다: receive
전화가 오다 : to get a call
깨닫다 : to realize
진리 : truth
책 : book
2. "The nouns + '-에/한테/에게/-께' is "to + the nouns ".
1)- 에 : to +(things or places or plant)
2) -한테/에게 : From +( preson or animal)
-한테 is more colloquial thatn -에게
3) -께 is a formal form and 한테/에게 are the informal form.
EX)
① 선생님께서 학생들에게 한국어를 가르칩니다.
The teacher tecaches Korean to the students.
② 전 부모님께 선물을 드렸어요/주었어요
I gave My parents a present
③ 여동생이 개한테 밥을 줘요/먹이를 줘요.
My little sister feeds the dog.
④ 꽃에 물을 줘요.
I water the flowers.
⑤ 학교에 전화를 걸어요/전화하세요.

3 "The nouns + -께 can be used in both 2 situations
① 선생님께/*께서, (전) 선물을 받았어요.
From teachter, I received a gift
② 선생님께서/*께 저한테 선물을 주셨어요.
My teacher gave a present to me.
③ 전 부모님께 선물을 드렸어요/주었어요.
I gave My parents a present.
