V- 는 데 걸리다/들다

V-는 데 걸리다/들다 is added to the end of verbs to express how mush money, time or effort is involved in doing a task.
It means "talks/requires/costs.....to (do) in English. 데 is a noun and means a work/thing,  place,case...데 means the case for This pattern.
This expression is made by adding 'V -는 데 걸리다/들다'.
V-는 데 걸리다 is used when expressing an amount of time required , and ' -는 데 들다' is mostly used when expressing an amount of money required..
If Adjective, A-지는데 is used.
Ex)  (Time)                   걸리다

      가(다)+ -는 데---> 가는 데     먹(다) + -는데 ----> 먹는 데
      *만들(다) -는데 ----> 만드는 데('-ㄹ' 불규칙 irregular)

1) 운전을 배우는 데 두 달(이) 걸렸어요.
   It took me two months to learn to drive.
2) 숙제 하는데or 끝내는데 한 시간 걸렸어요.
    It took me an hour to finish my homework.
3) SJ CD 사는데  2만원 들었어요.
   It cost 20000 won to buy SJ CD.
4) 차를 고치는데 30만원 들었어요.
   It cost 300000 won to repair (My) car
5) 한국에서 버스를 타는데 1200원이 들어요
    It costs 1200 won to ride the bus in Korean.

A : 여기에서 명동까지 가는데 얼마나 걸려요?
     How long does it take to get to Myeong-dong from here?
B: 버스로 가면 40분 (걸리고), 지하철로 가면 20분 걸려요.
     If you go by bus, it take 40 minutes, and if you go by subway, 20 minutes.
     by 버스(bus), 지하철(subway)= 버스로, 지하철로
     분 : Minute
A : 지난 주에 이사했어요? 이사하는 데 얼마나 들었어요?
      Did you move last week?
      How much did it cost to move?
 B: 150만 원쯤  들었어요. 
      It cost about 1,500,000 won( to move).
